Friday Favorites!

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! In honor of the BEST day of the week, I would like to tell you guys about some of my favorite “travel-ish” things. One of them is a product, and one of them is another blogger/Youtuber, but they are both two of my go-to resources that I hope you’ll love! (**Note: I have not been reimbursed nor have I received any perks for naming certain products as my favorites. All opinions are my own from my own experiences with things I really like!)

My first “Friday Favorite” is a product that I absolutely depend on during my travels, without which I surely would’ve pulled all my hair out by now. It is loved by both obsessive organizers and last-minute packers. It is Eagle Creek’s Pack-It System! If you have not heard of the Pack-It System, it includes sets of “packing cubes” of varying sizes that you can use to organize everything you pack in your suitcase or backpack. As someone who panics when I can’t find what I need the second I need it, these things are a god-send. Eagle Creek has different types of packing cubes to meet your every packing need. They have quarter cubes for jewelry/electronic cords and chargers/other odds and ends; they also have half-cubes for small articles of clothing like shirts, swimsuits, and shorts. They even have double cubes for bulkier items like jackets, jeans, coats, etc. I especially love their Pack-It Folders, which come with a folding board that you can use to neatly fold button-up shirts or fancy dresses so that they don’t get wrinkled in transit. For more info, check them out here:  http://www.eaglecreek.com/ Let me know if you use the Pack-It System, and what your favorite pieces are!

My second Friday Favorite is, in my opinion, one of the best travel vloggers on the internet. Her name is Sonia Gil, and she is awesome! Her videos are great because they are practical, in-depth, and full of unique tips that no one else seems to talk about. Although she is mostly an international traveler, her tips and tricks could easily be used by domestic travelers too. Her humor and clips from her travels make her videos fun to watch as well as informational. Visit her YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/soniastravels or check out her Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/soniagilspage

I hope my favorites will be helpful to you, and maybe they’ll become your favorites too! Let me know in the comments below what some of your favorite travel-ish things are! Have a great day everyone!

Chattanooga, Tennessee

My first solo trip (and the trip that started my love for traveling) was a visit to Chattanooga, Tennessee. (I know, I know, that’s not very exotic haha.) Before this trip, I had only traveled with family or friends, which was great, but the feeling of having a trip to myself was a whole new wonderful experience. I slept when I wanted to sleep, ate when I wanted to eat, and visited the sites I wanted to see. I didn’t have to wait for anyone; the world was my oyster! My nervousness about being alone evaporated when I realized the amount of freedom I had. Thank you, Chattanooga, for bringing out the adventurer in me!

My goal for this blog is to inspire other travelers to plan at least one solo trip. It doesn’t have to be long, and your destination does not have to be far away. But don’t be afraid to travel solo! With good organization, planning ahead, and an open mindset, you just might experience a trip of a lifetime. Or even better: you could find a brand new passion, like I did!
